Add

alias ssh_gaul="export TERM=xterm && ssh USER@obelix.gaul.csd.uwo.ca"

to your local ~/.bashrc (replace USER with your GAUL username), then restart your terminal. Now you can log into GAUL with the command

> ssh_gaul

As an added bonus for Terminal.app users (on a Mac), this makes it so that GAUL doesn’t ask you to set the TERM variable at login.
